300 affected families at Gobindaganj to get money to repair houses 

 
GAIBANDHA, Mar 27: As many as 300 families affected by recently nor'wester would get Tk 26,000 each from a project run by SKS Foundation, a local non-government development organisation working across the country to repair their houses damaged by recent nor'wester. 

The officials of the foundation disclosed it while they were addressing an inception workshop of a project entitled Rapid Response for Storm Affected Communities funded by Start Fund Bangladesh. 

The function was held in the conference room of Gobindaganj Upazila administration in the district on Thursday afternoon with UNO Syeda Yasmin Sultana in the chair. 
Local lawmaker Shameem Kaiser Lincon attended the function and addressed it as the chief guest.
Khondoker Zahid Sarwar, Director-programmes of the organisation, briefed the participants about the working plans of the project and said the houses of 300 families of Razahar Union of the upazila had been damaged due to nor'wester swept over the union recently.  To repair their damaged houses, the organisation would provide economical support from the project, he said adding that primarily each of the affected family would get Tk  6,000. Then,  they would get Tk 20,000  in addition to Tk 6,000 from the project. A list of the affected families would be prepared at the initiative of the upazila administration and the organisation, then the money distribution activity to the affected families would start through mobile account banking like bKash and Nagad, he continued to say. 

At last, he sought whole hearted cooperation of the upazila administration and local lawmaker to make the money distribution activity a grand success. 

Local lawmaker in his speeches urged the officials of the upazila administration and his fellows to provide all sorts of cooperation  and supports to the  employees of the organization  in a bid to run the project in the upazila successfully and peacefully. 

Almost all upazila level officials, social workers, stake e holders, elite  and invited persons attended the function.
