Traditional horse race returns to Faridpur's Saltha after a decade

After a decade-long pause, traditional horse race of rural Bangladesh was revived at Saltha upazila of faridpur district, delighting local residents and visitors.

The event took place on Tuesday at 4:00 PM in an open field in front of Phulbaria Nishitola are under Ballabhdi union of the upazila. 

Eight renowned horses competed in the race, drawing thousands of spectators along both sides of the track.

In the competition, the horse owned by Jasim Molla secured first place, while the horse of Nur Islam Matubbor claimed second.

After the race, prizes were distributed to the winners by Union Parishad Chairman Khandakar Saifur Rahman Shaheen, along with local BNP leaders and other local dignitaries.
