Fire damages Satkhira Medical’s garage

A fire broke out at the ambulance garage of Satkhira Medical College Hospital on Monday night, destroying an ambulance and damaging several stored items.

Fire Service personnel rushed to the scene after receiving the information and brought the blaze under control.

Md Nurul Islam, warehouse inspector of Satkhira Fire Service Station, said the fire had been completely extinguished and an investigation was underway to determine its cause and assess the extent of the damage.

Hospital authorities could not be reached for comment despite repeated attempts to contact officials, including the hospital director.
