Traders fined in Joypurhat over not having trading license

A mobile court has fined two trader for not having trading licenses to sell gas at two gas cylinder shops at Gulshanmor and Khanjanpur areas of Joypurhat Sadar upazila.

Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Rajib Kumar Biswas led the mobile court and fined two gas cylinder trader Tk 5,000 each.

It is reported that the intelligence team of RAB-5 and CPC-3 conducted an investigation into the fact that gas cylinder shops in various areas of the district did not have licenses to sell gas and found the truth.

Following the investigation, a team from Joypurhat camp conducted drives on gas cylinder shops in Gulshanmor and Khanjanpur areas of sadar upazila on Thursday afternoon.

At that time, Md. Zahurul, 40, a shop owner from Khanjanpur area, was fined Tk 5,000 and  Md. Anisur ,50, another shop owner from Gulshanmor area, was also fined Tk 5,000 for not having a license to sell gas cylinders.

Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Rajib Kumar Biswas said that the fined amount has been deposited in the government treasury.
