India has agreed to resume visa services for Bangladeshi nationals, including medical and business visas, from next week, said Foreign Affairs Adviser to the Prime Minister Humayun Kabir on Monday.

He made the announcement at noon after a meeting with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, adding that the new visa process is expected to be launched next week.

Describing the discussions with India as successful, Kabir said a positive mindset between the two countries could significantly strengthen bilateral relations.

Several issues of mutual interest were discussed constructively, he added.

Humayun Kabir also mentioned that Bangladesh expressed gratitude to India for continuing energy supply through cross-border pipelines, highlighting ongoing cooperation in the energy sector.
