3 bodies recovered in Narsingdi within a day

Three bodies were recovered from different locations across Narsingdi district on Thursday. 

The incidents, spanning Belabo, Raipura and Madhabdi upazilas, have left local residents deeply concerned about the escalating security situation.

At Belabo, police recovered the body of 24-year-old trolley driver Riazul Islam Apon from a paddy field near Belabo-Shibpur road around 11:00 AM. Apon, had been missing since Wednesday night after leaving home to meet a friend. His family alleges he was murdered elsewhere and his body dumped in the field. 

Belabo Police Inspector (Investigation) Md. Nasir Uddin confirmed that the body has been sent for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

Simultaneously, Railway Police recovered the body of an unidentified elderly man, aged around 70, near the Amirganj Railway Station in Raipura. 

Sub-Inspector Md. Nazim Uddin, in-charge of the Narsingdi Railway Police Outpost stated that the victim is suspected to have been struck by a train around 2:00 AM. Efforts are currently underway to identify the deceased.

In third incident at Madhabdi, police found the hanging body of Saiful Islam Bhuiyan, 40, in a rented house in the Monoharpur area. 

Madhabdi Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Md. Kamal Hossain suggest it suicide due to a lack of visible injury marks, the victim's family has raised allegations of foul play.

All three bodies have been sent to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital for an autopsy.
