Workshop on 'Human Rights Journalism' held in Gopalganj

GOPALGANJ, May 8: A day-long training workshop on 'Human Rights Journalism' was held on Thursday for television journalists working in the district. 

The Bangladesh Human Rights Journalists Forum organised the training workshop with funding from the Bangladesh NGO Foundation.

The training workshop was held in the morning at the hall room of the Gopalganj District Council. The training was provided by Enamul Kabir Rupam, President of the Bangladesh Human Rights Journalists Forum (BMSF); Khairuzzaman Kamal, General Secretary; Shahnaz Poly, Member of the Management Committee of the National Press Club; and Ahmad Ullah, Chief Reporter of the Daily Bangladesh Post. Twenty-five television journalists from the district took part in the training.

The training covered various topics including human rights, fundamental rights, human dignity, non-discrimination, elimination of all forms of discrimination against women, journey towards equality, and legal complexities.
