Bangladeshi youth shot dead in South Africa

A Bangladeshi expatriate was shot dead by miscreants in Newcastle, South Africa, on Saturday afternoon. 

The victim, identified as Suman, 35, a businessman who had lived in South Africa for several years was attacked while sitting inside his car. Suman was the son of Moiz Uddin, originally from Abhirampur village of  Mirzapur upazila of Tangail. 

According to family sources, the motive behind the daylight shooting remains unclear. 

Mirzapur Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Abdullah Al Mamun confirmed that police visited the family and assured them that the authorities would provide all necessary assistance to bring the body back to Bangladesh.
