Couple electrocuted in Jhenaidah

JHENAIDAH, May 20: A husband and wife died after being electrocuted in Gaganna Village of Holidhani Union in Jhenaidah Sadar Upazila on Monday morning. 

The deceased were Mujibur Rahman of the village and his wife Momena Khatun.

Saidur Rahman of the village said that Mujibur was preparing to thresh paddy in the morning. At that time, he accidentally switched on the fan and he was electrocuted. At that time, his wife Momena Khatun also got electrocuted when she went to save him. 

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jhenaidah Sadar Police Station Md Asaduzzaman confirmed the deaths.
