PM chairs ECNEC meeting

Tarique Rahman, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, is attending a meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) in the chair.

The meeting began Tuesday morning, June 16, 2026, at Public Administration Meeting Room of the Cabinet Division at Bangladesh Secretariat in Bangladesh, said Prime Minister’s Deputy Press Secretary Md Suzauddhowla Sujon Mahmud.

The last ECNEC meeting was held on June 9, 2026, with the PM in the chair. 

At that meeting, a total of 12 new and revised projects were placed for approval, aimed at advancing development in the country’s infrastructure, health, technology, and energy sectors. Of those, 10 projects were approved, reports BSS.
