Two killed in Joypurhat

JOYPURHAT, June 23: Two people were killed in separate accidents in Akkelpur and Panchbibi upazilas of the district. 

Police said that Rashedul Islam Johnny, 42, who was crushed to death by a truck in Panchbibi, was the son of Md Abdur Rashid of Nawda Fentara Village in Balighata Union of the upazila on Tuesday morning.

Officer-in-Charge of Panchbibi Police Station Abdul Hafiz Md Raihan said that Rashedul’s body has been recovered and sent to the District Hospital morgue for an autopsy. He also commented that further legal action will be taken if the family files a complaint.

On the other hand, an unknown person died tragically after being crushed under the Chilahati-bound Titumir Express train in the Akkelpur railway station area in the same morning.
