All tourist centers in Bandarban, which were closed due to continuous rains and flooding, will be opened to tourists from Thursday (July 16).

District administration sources said that considering the risk of continuous heavy rains, landslides and flash floods, a public notice signed by Deputy Commissioner Md. Saniul Ferdous on the district's official Facebook page on the night of July 8 banned travel to all tourist centers in the district.
In continuation of the public notice issued earlier on July 6, tourist centers were initially closed until July 12. Later, as the situation did not improve, the ban was extended until July 15. During this time, travel by tourists, tour operators, and the general public to all tourist centers, waterfalls, mountain trails, river routes, remote areas, and risky places in the district was prohibited.
However, due to the improvement in the current weather conditions and the receding flood waters, the district administration has decided to reopen all tourist centers in Bandarban to tourists from July 16.
