Viral HSC protestor is not our student, Milestone College tells police

Milestone College authorities have clarified that the student from the viral video on social media claiming responsibilities for ’12 crore students,’ is not a student of their college. A General Diary (GD) was filed with Turag Police Station in connection with this incident.

On Thursday, Milestone College authorities filed the GD, claiming Rubaiya Mehzabin Suhi (Iban) was a former student of the respective college.

According to college sources, Milestone College Security Officer Muhammad Johurul Islam lodged the GD on behalf of the institution.

The GD stated that Rubaiya Mehzabin Suhi was previously a student in the English version science department of the college for the 2024-25 academic session. However, she was issued a Transfer Certificate (TC) with the permission of the Dhaka Education Board due to disciplinary issues.

Consequently, she is no longer a student at Milestone College and holds no right to use the institution’s identity.

The complaint added that Suhi was recently seen in a viral social media video making statements regarding the HSC exams and question paper movement while wearing the Milestone College ID card.

The college authorities claimed that her use of the institution's identity, despite not being a current student, is misleading the public and damaging the reputation and image of the college.

Milestone College has requested the Turag Police Station to take necessary legal action in this regard.
