Pedestrian dies being hit by motorcycle in Gopalganj

A 55-year-old man has been killed after being hit by a motorcycle while crossing a road in Tungipara, Gopalganj.

The dead was identified as Javed Ali Sheikh. He was taken to Gopalganj 250-Bed General Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries around 05:00AM on Monday .

The accident occurred at around 09:30 PM on Sunday near Nilfa Bazar in Tungipara.

Eyewitnesses reported that Javed was hit by a motorcycle when he was crossing the road. The bike rider immediately fled the scene. Javed was seriously injured when he was thrown onto the road divider.

Local residents rescued him and rushed him to Gopalganj 250-Bed General Hospital, where he died while undergoing treatment.

According to Officer in Charge (OC) of Tungipara Police Station, Ayub Ali, said no case has yet been registered by his family.
