Drug-laden car and pickup truck seized in B-baria: 2 arrested

Police have seized a pickup truck and a private car containing 180 bottles of Skaf syrup and 20 kilograms of cannabis in separate raids in Ashuganj of Brahmanbaria. Two suspected drug dealers were arrested in connection with the operations.

a team of Ashuganj Police Station conducted a raid in the Ashuganj Toll Plaza area based on a tip-off. A pickup truck was stopped and searched, during which 180 bottles of Skaf syrup were recovered. According to police sources, at around 4:45 AM. on Monday (August 10).

In connection with the incident, Md. Dildar Ahmed, son of Ramzan Ali, of Naljuri village under Goainghat Police Station in Sylhet district, was arrested.

Meanwhile, at around 11:25 a.m. on the same day, police conducted another raid in the same area. A red private car was stopped and searched. During the search, 20 kilograms of cannabis were recovered.

Md. Hridoy, son of Humayun Kabir of Kamalpur village under Bhairab Police Station in Kishoreganj district, was arrested.

The recovered drugs and vehicles were seized in accordance with legal procedures and included in the official seizure lists. Two separate drug-related cases were filed at Ashuganj Police Station in connection with the incidents Police added.

After legal proceedings were initiated against the two arrested individuals, they were sent to court.
