Six more children died with measles symptoms across the country in the past 24 hours, raising the death toll from measles and related symptoms to 908 since March 15, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The latest figures were released in the DGHS measles surveillance report on Sunday.
The report said 1,101 new suspected cases were recorded in the past 24 hours.
Of the 908 deaths recorded since March 15, 809 involved children with measles symptoms and 99 were confirmed measles cases, according to the DGHS.
The number of suspected measles cases has exceeded 142,000, while nearly 18,000 cases have been confirmed, the health directorate said.
