Tasrif Khan stuck in Nepal due to terrible crisis

Famous Bangladeshi singer Tasrif Khan is stuck in Nepal due to terrible flooding and landslides that have affected road communication there. Currently, Tasrif Khan is trapped along with his friends in the tourist spot Ghandruk that lies approximately 5,500 feet above sea level.

He travelled to Nepal on August 20 to go on holiday with Kureghor band guitarist Shamsul Alam, Tanzib Khan and two other members of Tasrif Squad.

Tasrif told in an interview held on Thursday that they were stuck in the place for two days. “The conditions are terrible here and we do not know how long it will take us to leave. We get worried each passing minute,” he said.

Although no major damage has been caused to Ghandruk itself, the road leading to the village has got badly affected by floods and landslides. Traffic movement has been temporarily stopped by the authorities, which leaves them no easier way out.

Moreover, their return ticket was booked for Thursday, but they have not been able to leave due to the crisis. Tasrif stated that they were trying to book new tickets, but had no luck yet.

Besides, they are facing some problems regarding money as well. They have only a little amount of Nepalese rupee and $100, but cards can’t be used in that remote place.

Another way out will be to travel via an eight-to ten-hour-long route through landslides affected areas.
