Families of 13 govt employees get aid

PABNA, Sept 16: Financial grant cheques have been distributed to the families of government officials and employees who died while serving in the civil administration. 

The district administration organised the distribution ceremony in the deputy commissioner (DC) office conference room on Wednesday morning.

Presided over by DC Aminul Islam, the event was attended by Zilla Parishad Administrator and valiant freedom fighter Jahurul Islam Bishu as the chief guest. Other attendees included Additional DC (General) Moniruzzaman and Additional DC (Revenue) Yasmin Monira. 

Speakers at the event said that the death or serious injury of any official or employee while performing government duties is deeply tragic. Standing by their families and providing government assistance during times of need is part of the state’s responsibility. These financial grants will offer some support to the affected families.

During the ceremony, officials handed over financial grant cheques worth Tk 8 lakh each to the relatives of 13 officials and employees who had passed away while in service.
