Man dies after losing control of tractor in Chapainawabganj

A tractor driver died after losing control of his vehicle and being crushed underneath it in Chapainawabganj. The accident occurred on Sunday morning near the Miyapara Eidgah in Ranihati Union under Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila.

The deceased, Raihan, 25, was the son of Shahalal Ali of Sator Roshiya village in Sadar Upazila.

The incident was confirmed by Mozaffar Hossain, officer-in-charge (OC) of Chapainawabganj Sadar Model Police Station.

He said the tractor was carrying a load of dhaincha (a type of green manure crop) from the No. 6 Embankment area towards Ghora Stand. On the way, near the Ramchandrapur Miyapara Eidgah ground, the tractor lost control and overturned. Raihan was crushed underneath the vehicle and sustained critical injuries.

Locals rescued him and rushed him to Modern Sadar Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

The OC added that legal proceedings regarding the incident are underway.
