EC resumes voter transfer process

The Election Commission (EC) has resumed the voter transfer process for citizens who have changed their place of residence, issuing instructions to all upazila and thana election offices across the country.

According to a letter signed by EC Senior Assistant Secretary Md Nasir Uddin Chowdhury, field-level election offices have been instructed to accept voter transfer applications, complete the necessary verification and process them for issuance and disposal.

The EC had earlier directed field offices to settle pending voter transfer applications by September 10. It has now decided to resume the process to facilitate citizens and in view of the overall situation.
