PM Tarique meets Kuwait Crown Prince in New York

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman held a bilateral meeting with Kuwait’s Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah in New York on Friday, discussing ways to further strengthen the longstanding ties between Bangladesh and Kuwait.

The meeting was held at the Kuwaiti Permanent Mission in New York on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

During the meeting, the two leaders discussed expanding labour migration, trade and investment, and strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries.

Prime Minister Tarique highlighted the longstanding friendly relations between Bangladesh and Kuwait and stressed the need to deepen and broaden the relationship for the mutual benefit of the two countries' people.

They also exchanged views on various regional and international issues of mutual interest and emphasised continued communication, cooperation and coordination.

The two leaders expressed their commitment to further strengthening existing cooperation for the mutual benefit of the people of Bangladesh and Kuwait.
