‘Home minister has failed, should resign’: Dilara Chowdhury

Political analyst Prof Dr Dilara Chowdhury has demanded Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed’s resignation, accusing him of failing to control the law and order situation.

“We do not want the home minister. He must resign because he has failed as home minister,” she said at a human chain organised by Mancha 24 in Shahbagh on Monday (September 28).

The protest was held over the alleged attack on content creator Salman Muqtadir’s studio, vandalism at Radda Health Centre in Mirpur and the deteriorating law and order situation.

Other speakers also called for immediate steps to restore public safety and improve the law and order situation.
