David Hemp appointed B’desh women’s team head coach

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has appointed David Hemp as the new head coach of the national women’s cricket team, replacing Sarwar Imran following the team’s disappointing performances in the recent Asia Cup and Asian Games.

Hemp has signed a two-year contract with the BCB and will take charge of the women’s coaching setup.

He is scheduled to arrive in Bangladesh on Thursday and will travel with the team to Australia on October 3. His first assignment will be a three-match ODI series against the hosts.

Hemp has previously worked with Bangladesh’s High Performance (HP) programme, the national men’s team and the women’s team.
