Supporter of M'singh independent candidate stabbed dead

Deceased Nazrul Islam, 40, was the supporter of Mymensingh-1 (Haluaghat-Dhobaura) constituency independent candidate Salman Omar Rubel.

According to local residence and police, on Friday evening, an election office of Salman was inaugurated at the Ershad Bazar area. Two groups of BNP, equipped with lethal weapons, locked into a clash over this inauguration, leaving Nazrul dead on the scene.

He was rushed to Upazila Health Complex where the on-doctors declared him dead.

Dhobaura Police Station OC Md Shahfiqul Islam visited the scene and he was detained suspected two from there.
