Lightning kills farmer in Pirojpur

PIROJPUR, June 6: A farmer was killed by lightning strike while bringing back cattle home from the field of Dr Rustam Ali Farajee College in Mathbaria Upazila of the district on Saturday morning. 

The deceased was identified as Suhrab Hosen Jammader, 50, son of late Hashem Ali Jamaddar of Sonalakhali Village in the upazila.  

After lightning struck him, locals rushed him to Mathbaria Health Complex where doctor on duty declared him dead. 

Officer-in-Charge of Mathbaria Police Station Rabiul Islam confirmed the matter adding an unnatural death case was filed in this incident.
