Sudden dense fog blankets Nilphamari

Locals said dense fog usually becomes more common toward the end of September, but this year it has appeared unusually early, in the middle of the month.

The fog reduced visibility on roads, forcing vehicles to travel with their headlights on. As sunlight strengthened later in the morning, the fog gradually began to clear.

Akram Ali, a resident of Nilphamari town, said, “I woke up in the morning to find the entire area covered in fog. Usually, the fog becomes denser toward the end of September, but this year it has appeared in the middle of the month.”

Alim Uddin, a rickshaw driver in the town, said he goes out with his vehicle early every morning. “Today, when I came out, I saw fog everywhere.''
