Kane set to renew Bayern contract

Harry Kane’s talks with Bayern Munich over a new contract are progressing positively, with the England captain saying an agreement is close.

Kane’s current deal runs until June 2027. He joined Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023, and talks over an extension began in August.

“Talks are going well. We’re getting close, although some things are still to be finalised. I’m happy here and hope there will be an announcement soon,” Kane said.

Kane is settled in Munich and happy with the club, teammates and environment. Since joining Bayern, he has scored regularly and helped the club win two Bundesliga titles, one German Cup and two Franz Beckenbauer Super Cups.

Bayern are also keen to keep the striker, with CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen previously saying both sides are comfortable with the renewal talks.
