B'desh fastest man reaches Asian Games 100m semifinal

Bangladesh’s fastest sprinter Imranur Rahman reached the men’s 100-metre semifinal at the Asian Games after clocking 10.49 seconds in his heat on Thursday (September 24).

Imranur finished fourth in his seven-man heat but secured a semifinal place as one of the six fastest runners outside the top three from each heat. He ranked 22nd among the 24 semifinalists.

His career-best time is 10.11 seconds, while his season-best is 10.24 seconds. He could not match either mark in Thursday’s race but still progressed to the next round.
