Pakistani actor Wahaj Ali coming to Bangladesh

Pakistani actor Wahaj Ali, known for his role as Murtasim in the popular drama Tere Bin, is coming to Bangladesh to meet fans and attend an event in Dhaka.

Wahaj announced his visit in a video message shared on social media. Addressing Bangladeshi viewers, he said he was excited about the upcoming ‘Imira: The Wedding Chapter’ and looked forward to meeting fans and creating memories with them.

The event will be held at the United Convention Centre in Dhaka on October 2 and 3. Wahaj will attend its closing programme.

Organisers told Dhaka Post that Wahaj was coming as a personal guest for the exhibition and would attend the closing event. A number of lucky draw winners among visitors who spend at the event will also get the opportunity to meet him.

The organisers also said they were unaware of social media posts claiming that 100 people would have to pay Tk 15,000 each.

Wahaj made his acting debut as a lead actor in the 2015 drama Ishq Ibadat. He later appeared in dramas including Hari Hari Churiyan, Dil Nawaz, Mah-e-Tamam, Dil-e-Beraham, Bharam, Fitoor and Ishq Jalebi.

In 2021, he played Bangladeshi freedom fighter Shaheed Rumi in the historical drama Jo Bichar Gaye. He gained wider recognition for playing Murtasim Khan in Tere Bin, which premiered in December 2022 and became popular in Bangladesh and India as well as Pakistan.
