Unidentified man’s body recovered from Munshiganj pond

A half-decomposed body of an unidentified man was recovered from a pond in Munshiganj’s Sreenagar upazila on Tuesday afternoon.

According to locals, they discovered the body floating around 5:30 PM in a pond belonging to Mina Bibi in Sholaghar area under the upazila and informed police.

Being informed, police arrived at the scene and recovered the body in a decomposed state.

According to law enforcement officials, the man may have died several days ago.

Sreenagar Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Jewel Mia said that legal procedures would be taken after the recovery of the body.
