3 held with 1,000 yaba pills in Jamalpur

Police arrested three alleged drug traffickers, including a married couple and seized 1,000 pieces of yaba tablets at Bakshiganj upazila of Jamalpur on Friday.

The drive was conducted by a team from Bakshiganj Police Station at the residence of Abdul Barek of Soloimondal Para village under Nilakhia union, acting on a tip-off.

The arrested were identified as Md. Arif Hossain, 30, his wife Rahima Begum, 25, both residents of Soloimondal Para and Abdul Mannan, 42, from Ramu Police Station in Cox's Bazar district.

Bakshiganj Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Mokbul Hossain confirmed the details of the anti-drug drive and stated that the three suspects were sent to Jamalpur court on Saturday.
