NAOGAON, July 7: Naogaon University will officially start its academic activities on July 18, marking the beginning of its journey as a new public higher education institution in the country.
A colourful orientation ceremony for students of the 2025-26 academic sessions will be held at 10 am at the Naogaon Sadar Upazila Auditorium, where the university’s formal academic operations will be inaugurated.
The information was disclosed in a press release issued on Tuesday afternoon and signed by the university’s Acting Registrar Md Sayem Bin Solaiman.
According to the release, the university will begin its academic journey by enrolling its first batch of students in the Department of Law and the Department of Accounting, with classes s starting simultaneously.
The inaugural ceremony will be attended by Education Minister Dr A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon as the chief guest. Special guests will include State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Mir Shahe Alam, Education Secretary Abdul Khalek, University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Prof Dr Mamun Ahmed, UGC Member Prof Dr Abdullah-Al-Mamun, and Director General of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) Prof Dr Khan Moinuddin Al Mahmud Sohel.
