Unidentified woman run over by vehicle in B’baria

An unidentified woman has been killed in a road accident in Bijoynagar upazila of Brahmanbaria. 

The accident occurred at around 8AM on Thursday in the Chandura petrol pump area of the upazila.

According to local sources, a speeding vehicle ran over the woman on the road adjacent to Chandura Petrol Pump in the morning. She was then seriously injured and locals tried to rescue her and provide her with medical treatment, but she eventually died due to the severity of her injuries.

The officer in-charge of the Highway Police Station confirmed the death and said that the police went to the spot, recovered the body and brought it to the police station.

Efforts are underway to identify the deceased and further legal proceedings are underway, he added.
