Father-son held with Yaba pills in Pabna

Detective Branch (DB) of Police arrested a father and his son along with 200 pieces of Yaba pills in Pabna’s Ishwardi upazila on Saturday night.

The arrested were identified as Md Bhuttu, 45, and his son Md Nur Islam Shimul, 20, residents of Saragopalpur Farazipara area in the municipality.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of DB officials conducted a raid in that area and arrested the duo along with  contraband pills in front of Bhuttu Furniture Shop.

Pabna DB Police officer-in-charge (OC) Md Rashidul Islam confirmed the detention and said that the arrested were sent to jail after a case was filed in this connection.
