Man held with Yaba pills in Tangail

Police arrested a man along with 50 pieces of Yaba pills from Bolibhadra union under Dhanbari upazila in Tangail district on Friday afternoon.

The arrested was identified as Masud Ahmed alias Kashem, 44, son of late Karim Khan of Korotia Collegepara area under Tangail Sadar upazila.

Dhanbari Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Nurus Salam Siddique said, acting on a tip-off, police conducted a drive in the Paikpathal area and arrested the accused with the contraband tablets.

A case was filed against him under the Narcotics Control Act, added the OC.

Later on Saturday, he was sent to Tangail jail through court.
